The Monash Academy Orchestra opens its 2026 season with a special event in the Music Auditorium, as part of the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music and Performance's Lunchtime Concert Series.
Experience the joy of the Monash Academy Orchestra performing live on stage delving into the Classical period, bringing the era’s history and context to life. With passion and precision, the orchestra will bring to life symphonic works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven in a historically informed performance style, under the baton of esteemed conductor and educator Rachael Beesley. Showcasing the energy and expressive power of the Classical symphony through dramatic rhythms, harmonic richness, and varied textures, these elements combine to create an engaging musical narrative that reveals the music’s unity, grandeur, variety, and nuance.
Don’t miss the opportunity to witness these young musicians showcase their artistry in a truly memorable performance.
