Overview
Following a major revitalisation, the 561-seat Alexander Theatre at Monash University reopened in 2018. A much-loved foundation building, the ‘Alex’ Theatre is now a state-of-the-art proscenium arch theatre, fully equipped with technical capabilities and creature comforts alike for both audiences and performers.
These include:
- Improved accessibility throughout the venue
- Sophisticated dressing room space and backstage facilities to accommodate up to 300 people backstage
- Inclusion of an active acoustic sound system delivering world-leading sound performance
